There will be ceremonially unveiled commemorative plaque to the legenday motorcycle racer František Šťastný on May 26, 2025 in Prague's district Žižkov on Hartigova Street 127.
The intention is to remind and celebrate his sporting achievements in Czechoslovakia and beyond, not only to those who witnessed it, but also to the younger generation.
"František Šťastný, called Šťágra, our number one rider... If anyone was brimming with energy, it was him. He played first in the races and after them, the first on the dance floor, always cheerful, pure fun, an excellent companion, he could step in for any musician when needed. He sang very well, national, modern songs, whatever, he was able to improvise and sing his lyrics on the spot, depending on the situation. A tremendously funny person with an abundant supply of anecdotes. An excellent storyteller, he managed to make the listeners laugh so that they were rolling on the ground."
